Perfect location and friendly staff. The rooms were cozy and warm, and the Christmas decorations were beautiful. The breakfast was delicious, with many options to choose from.
The hotel was very noisy. We were woken up several times during the night by other guests walking around and talking.

Very friendly and helpful staff
We booked for dinner when we arrived. They offered us 7.15 'so we wouldnt be kept hanging about. We went down at 7.15, had a drink at the bar and didnt get served our first course until 8.10. (There were six other people in the restaurant apart from us) We were in a relaxed mood so made no complaint, but I'd have been fuming if I'd been going on somewhere else. The food was edible but not much more than that. Service at breakfast was much better.

Hotel staff we polite enough, th breakfast was very good, with a good choice
We had two rooms in the original building, My sisters room was very cold, we asked on the Saturday for the heating to be turned up, and was assured it would be, but this never happened, the next morning we were advise the heating was broke, but we had hot water, which I cannot understand with boiler broke ? we were refunded £20.00 My room was very small and tired looking, the en-suite was modern with no towel rail, which again I could not understand Beds in both rooms were very old and needed replaced

Handy location in Pitlochry. Pleasant welcome from proprietor, friendly staff (except one!); quiet environment.
Awful mattress so uncomfortable night's sleep. Surly waiter in restaurant, inferior quality evening meal but breakfast a little better. Small room and shower.

At reception they were reasonably friendly.
The pictures of the rooms that appear on the web site do not get even close with reality. I wanted to book a premium room but I had to go for the standard one because I went with my dog and they are not allowed in the premium ones, I was ok to go for a lower grade because of that even though it was more expensive but the room desperately needs to be updated and the very small and very old shower room had the dirtiest carpet I have ever found in a hotel. I had dinner once at the hotel and for the price I was expecting more, frozen bad quality food. Before I ordered I asked if the salmon was fresh and the waiter basicaly laughed at me (and say, of course!), not impressed.
